Trump Invents, Attacks ‘Not Fair' French Wine Tariffs

In a chain of tweets aimed at French President Emmanuel Macron Tuesday morning, President Trump claimed France's wine tariffs were “Not fair,” and “must change.” The thing is, France doesn't even have its own wine tariffs, as it's part of the European Union .
On Trade, France makes excellent wine, but so does the U.S. The problem is that France makes it very hard for the U.S. to sell its wines into France, and charges big Tariffs, whereas the U.S. makes it easy for French wines, and charges very small Tariffs. Not fair, must change!

It appears he is stoking the flames of a trade war Donald Trump surprised Twitter followers this morning with a micro-missive about how tariffs make it “very hard for the U.S. to sell its wines into France,” while “the U.S. makes it easy for French wines, and charges very small” tariffs.
