My enthusiasm for eating and shopping at The Green Edge since the current owners took over has been well documented. I've stopped in a couple of times over the past month to get some burgers, and to get some groceries. And often to enjoy a juice or turmeric latte.
It took me a while to know I was ready, but finally I was prepared to take on the Origin Burger. It has a beefy patty, caramelised onions, lettuce, cheese, special sauce, pickles, beetroot, and a hash brown. Served with some of their great chips. This burger is, not surprisingly, super filling. After my first visit to The Cardamom Pod Brickworks , I was keen to get back. It is a bit of a drive, being down in Southport, but not too bad. I have managed to get down there twice over the past several months, once for breakfast and once for lunch.
I always love to order beetroot lattes, because they are so pretty, but often they just taste like warm soymilk. Not so theirs, which is delicious! And so beautiful!
